When elders start cone competition, it used to crown by pointing its tails up. This is achieved when it is spindled or rolled with truth.
When you are saddled with a position of responsibility, you should know that it is a time bomb that can explode anytime. How do you make use of that position?
Remember an adage that says- in standing position you hang a bag on a rack, when you sit down your hand could not touch the bag nay longer.
Make sure you do your best possible to use your position of responsibility for the benefit of the people under you so that they will remember your tenure in office very well.
Touch the m both physically and spiritually in a way that they will remember you for long time after you might have been relieved from that post.
This makes me to remember a certain incident that happened long ago, join me and let’s cruise on together.
In ancient time there was a certain town called Ehinlaro (meaning-we should think of the outcome of whatever we do before embarking on it). The name of the Monarch – the king of that town was Remember Tomorrow).
There was a certain cultural ceremony that involved every blessed year. This ceremony was compulsory that every one home and abroad must attend. Those in far places used to come home to celebrate with their people.
The name of the festival was Horse crown. This festival involves horse competition among different clubs and societies. Each club or society would choose a representative that would represent that society in the festival with a beautifully decorated horse.
Each representative with his decorated horse would start to dance and display all acrobatic activities.
The contestant who represents a club used to perform with their horse while other members of their club will continue to sing different songs with different musical instruments of that time like gong, trumpet, drums of all kind to cheer them up.
A contestant called Akanbi represented a club whose name was When thy are at the peak of fame, they perform different kinds of atrocity) or when they get to the position of authority, they do as they like)- (Bi aye ba ye won tan, iwa ibaje ni won n hu).
With the cooperation of the club members Mr. Akanbi won the Horse Crown Fame Tittle for his club.
He was crowned with the only crown meant for the competition for his excellent performance together with the cooperation of his members club.
All the club members were greatly happy for this great achievement.
Akanbi did not go back or show up with his club members again to commend them for a job well done. He did not show up to say thank you.
Their tradition in that town was whoever that was crowned will only use the crown for a day after which it will be retrieved, kept and sanctified for the next competition.
When the club members did not see Akanbi in their midst any longer they agreed that Akanbi was a kind of ungrateful member. An elderly person among them called “Elder’s cone” who suppose to be wiser than them.
Elder’s cone said they should not be annoyed – that the bag we hanged while standing ,when we sat down that one’s hands did not reach bag again that is likened to Mr. Akanbi.
The bag should remember that it is only the custodian of the materials kept in it and not its own but kept for a while and it must be retrieved back when it is the time (The content of the bag must be given back to the owner).

:
This shows that whatever responsibility that is given to us whether you are husband in the home or you are a housewife, children to his father or mother, head of the family or community, councilor, chiefs, heads of
societies, kings, religious leaders and even the president of a nation you must remember to use the position positively to put smiles into the faces of your subjects .
Always note that position of authority and responsibility is an acid test to show case who you are – use your tenure of office well.
