COOPERATION

Cooperation mean collective desire or action in making a task done easily and quickly. A task that suppose to be done individually for days or months will be done easily when the same task is engaged by many people at a time collectively. The spirit of togetherness and connectivity aid progress when it is administered – with one spirit. An adage says collectively we stand, while individuality leads one astray. That is why people say two better heads are better than one. In a collective manner of working together the members problem will be the problem of all and the solution to such problems will be sought and solved amicably and jointly. In a cooperative manner, decision making will be jointly taken – and the interest of the individual member will be taken into consideration. Even the words of God buttress it that “where two or tree people gathered themselves I will answer their prayers”. Cooperation is necessary in any society or organization to propel that system on and forward. In the family among the husband and wife, in the community where an individual lives, and even in the church if God or your place of work, working together in the spirit of oneness is important. Cooperation is likened to a machine or body system if one part is malfunctioning the whole system or machine will not work well as expected and this will affect the kind of outcome or output expected. Lack of cooperation in an organization or in the family set up or society lead to effort in fruitility with nothing to show for it. When the leader go to the right, the subordinates will go to the left. In the home where there is no cooperation, things will fall apart, while the centre will never hold any longer. There will be no more peace and joy and everything will go astray. The early joy of their marriage will disappear and the members of the family will continue to live as co-tenants including children. Most women used to cooperate and stands by their husband and protect the interest of their family no matter the condition they are passing through. They will find all means to make their partner happy and attain position of high repute in the society. They are intact without allowing any intruder – that is cooperation. This reminds me of a woman that used all that was within her capacity to save her husband life when he was confronted by the armed robbers. Most women are life wire and pillars behind their husband’s progress and achievement. This is achieved through cooperation. The husband to this woman was a notable hunter. He heard about the nefarious activities of the notorious robbers that disturbs their community and its environment. This man made up his mind to confront these armed robbers and to stop their activities by arresting them alive. He asked about their hideout. One day, he told his wife that he was going to meet these robbers, and left his home for the assignment. On his way to the robber’s hideouts, the robbers suddenly crossed his way before he could even get to the half way of his journey. The suddenly appearance of these robbers made the hunter to be perplexed and he did not know what to do again but started shivering continuously. He was doomed. Suddenly he started hearing a loud voice from the nearby bush saying –That is my husband – that was how he used to shiver and kill one hundred, that was how to kill two hundred, three hundred, four hundred and even thousands. When the robbers heard that, that is how he used to shiver and kill hundreds and even thousands, they thought shivering is where his power lies and they don’t want to die. Immediately they fled and left the hunter un-harmed. After the robbers fled, the woman appeared to her husband in her powerful spiritual regalia. The husband was amazed that she was living with a powerful spiritual woman and he thanked his wife for rescuing his life from the hands of the robbers. That is cooperation. Women are the backbones and pillars of the family and they are helpers of their husband. The role of cooperation in the family or any facet of life can not be over emphasized. Therefore cooperation propels the wheel of progress in life. Without cooperation in the family, community, states or nations and in the whole world nothing tangible will be achieved in term of peace. To achieve peace worldwide we need to cooperate with one another and be our brothers keeper.
